Danish group DSV, one of the largest European companies on the transport-logistics sector, contracts new 37,000 sqm and renews the contract for the other 53,000 sqm, in a transaction with a total value of over 50 million euros.
|This is the largest rental transaction on the Romanian logistics market, namely a 10-year contract in CTPark Bucharest West. This transaction shows that the largest logistics investors expect a further growth of Romania’s economy , plus the possibility of shaping the local market in this segment.
In present, DSV has a storage area of 58,000 sqm in Bucharest, 2,000 sqm in Otopeni, 3,000 sqm in Timisoara and 1,000 sqm in Brasov, being situated in the top five transport and logistics companies in terms of warehouse space in a ranking led by Tibbett Logistic and H.Essers, according to market data. Last year, the company registered a 13% increase in turnover, reaching 224 million lei (over 50 million euros).
The logistics park where DSV will expand is at km 23 on A1 motorway, western area of the Bucharest and has direct access to highway.
